The library is an essential service that citizens depend upon. When possible, the library will remain open during winter storms to provide services to the public.
In the event of a weather emergency or unforeseen weather circumstance, it may be necessary to close the library for the safety of patrons and staff. If such an event occurs, the head librarian will make the final decision. There must always be 2 staff members to be able to work.
If the highways are closed, the library will be closed.
If the highways open, the library will open at the discretion of the head librarian.
