We have many tech items available to borrow. In order to borrow these items, you will need:
- A valid library card, in good standing.
- Access to a wireless network (to load materials at the library, at home or elsewhere).
Tech items can be borrowed for 21 days, with the option for renewal if no one else is waiting.
All Tech items are located behind the front desk; please ask staff to checkout.
Tech items must be returned to the front desk to prevent damage that may occur in the book chute. Patrons are responsible for materials checked out on their cards. For lost or damaged technology items, the replacement cost is listed.
C-Pen Reader 2
Use the C-Pen Reader 2™ to read printed text aloud for you. It features high quality naturally speaking English, American, Australian, British, Irish, Scottish and Indian accents, as well as Spanish (regular or Latin accents) and French voices. The C-Pen is located behind the front desk.
Kobo eReaders
You can use a Kobo eReader to conveniently download ebooks from the eLibraries Manitoba (eLM) catalogue and take them with you on the go. Settings can be customized for font style and size, contrast and colour temperature, and more.
Tablets
Touchscreen iPad tablets are available to borrow.
Wireless Keyboards
Wireless laptop-style keyboard. A built-in rechargeable lithium battery provides for 100 hours of uninterrupted usage.
