Event Series Event Series: Experience Nature

Pollinator Gardens

Wednesday May 22 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Two monarch butterflies collecting nectar from a pink coneflower.

Join Julie Ruban-McDonald for this Pollinator Gardens workshop. Julie is a local volunteer of The Butterflyway Project, a citizen-led movement which encourages growing habitat for bees and butterflies across Canada.

In this workshop, we begin at the library for a meet and greet. Then you will take a walk to Boyneside Pocket Park, which is just across the river from Riverview Legion Place.

Here, you will learn about what makes an important habitat for prairie pollinators, including recommendations for beneficial native plants.

Every participant will bring home a native pollinator plant and a nature journal.

Registration is required – opens May 7 at 10am.

This event is funded by Healthy Together Now and is part of our experience nature program.
