Event Series Event Series: Experience Nature

Nature Journaling : Children

Thursday October 3 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

An open journal with leaves and a pencil laying atop.

Looking for new ways to get your kids interested in the natural world? Introducing nature journaling! CPAWS Logo

This incredible practice incorporates creativity, wonder, and a touch of mindfulness to help your child deepen their relationship with nature. We will have age-appropriate activities to introduce children to this practice, as well as tips on basic observational drawing. Spending time in nature is good for your well-being and has proven to improve academic outcomes in children and to alleviate symptoms of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). If your child loves to draw, spend time exploring nature, or science – they will love this workshop!

Each attendee will receive a Nature Journal.  This event will take place in the library and along the Carman Community Pathway. Please dress appropriately.

Children under the age of 12 must have a caregiver present for the duration of the event.

Registration opens September 17 @ 10am.

This event is funded by Healthy Together Now and is part of our experience nature program.
